My mentees are, first and foremost, intelligent people.
“Intelligent” — we use this wonderful word less and less often. But in addition to the basic English language definition — smart, clever, — there are several other meanings, no less important — such as reasonable, comprehensive, understanding. And perhaps, if many of us had only one word to describe our ideal romantic or business partner, offspring, friend, coworker or boss, we would use the word “intelligent”, so beautiful and succinct.
My mentorship program is, as well, for influential people. For people seeking happiness and balance, for those who wish to gain even more influence.
I consider a person who has an opinion on any matter of social, political, economic or any other aspect of life influential. A more influential person has an opinion and expresses it. An even more influential person has an opinion, expresses it, and is listened to. The most influential of the “mere mortals” have an opinion, express it, are listened to and, most importantly, are held in high regard. So everyone can determine where on my “influence scale” they are today and where, with my help, they would like to land in the future.
Also, my program is for entrepreneurs.
An entrepreneur, in my framework, is a person who makes an effort to better their life and takes responsibility for their successes and failures. Thus, a salaried employee, a performer or an official can also be an entrepreneur. In the best sense of the word! Not every owner, co-owner of a company or head of a huge corporation is necessarily an entrepreneur. In my opinion, it is entrepreneurs in a broader sense who make the world we live in better, even if their world is limited to their family or close friends.
I’ll be the perfect mentor to those who, in the process of searching for and realizing their business and personal potential, have hundreds of questions every day.
After all, according to the apt statement of Eugene Ionesco, a French playwright of Romanian descent and a recognized classic of the theatrical avant-garde of the twentieth century, it is not the answer that leads to enlightenment, but the question. There is no better way to put it.
I hope you will find answers to some of these questions with me!
A mentor is a seasoned professional, a source of knowledge and professional experience. A mentor not only inspires, but also promotes development in both the personal and professional life of their mentee.
According to research by Forbes and Endeavor, more than 30% of founders of successful startups in the world had mentors. Today, this model of learning and personal growth is used by entrepreneurs all over the world.
A mentor builds a long-term relationship with a mentee to support their development in the long term, while helping them solve their current problems. Mentoring utilizes the skills and tools of a coach, trainer and facilitator. A coach facilitates the achievement of specific professional and life goals by working with current behaviors, habits, and knowledge. A coach develops specific skills for a specific outcome. The facilitator’s task is to lead to the solution of the problem, based on the personality and style of work, in fact — to lead the process, selecting appropriate tools in the course of work.
A mentor offers his/her expertise and time, focuses on the problems and aspirations of the mentee, supports, gives constructive feedback, advises without a specific algorithm, motivates and provides support using his/her knowledge and experience.
